GIRLS TO THE FRONT!: ABOUT GIRLS TO THE FRONT FESTIVAL

For those of us who were there, riot grrrl was an important moment in forming our identities as fierce feminists, queer warriors, and community-minded smarties. For those who missed it, this is a chance to experience revolution, girl style, now, for the first time! Now, more than ever, we need a little solidarity!
GIRLS TO THE FRONT is a three day party dedicated to the legacy and persevering spirit of the riot grrrl movement!

On the weekend of OCTOBER 22 thru OCTOBER 24, we are rocking Milwaukee's Riverwest Neighborhood and kicking the gender binary in its sexist ass with music, activism, workshops, discussions, films, readings, poetry, community, awesomeness and love!

GIRLS TO THE FRONT is for girls, boys, grrrls, bois, womyn, men, gay, lesbian, bi, drag queens, femmes, butches, transpeople, cisgendered, queer allies and gender warriors.
GIRLS TO THE FRONT is open to all people and all gender identities.
GIRLS TO THE FRONT is for everyone.
GIRLS TO THE FRONT is for us.

Donate to Girls To The Front Fest!

Girls to the Front is a community event, and is not for profit. Our organizers, volunteers, workshop leaders and performers are donating our time and effort because we believe in what we're doing. Unfortunately, stuff costs money. BLAH! IF you have a buck or two to spare and you're feeling loving, we would really appreciate it. ALL money donated to GTTF will go to pay expenses for putting on the event. On the outlandish chance that we make a profit, any extra money we earn will be donated to A Broader Vocabulary Book Co-op. Thanks, you beautiful things.
